Hi! I’m Janine Ella Anongos, born and raised in Cebu, Philippines. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information and Communications Technology and I am currently working as a Software Engineer. I have found my passion in blogging but in terms of professional career… I’m still working on it. LOL

I’m a five-foot-tall Gemini and I love tweaking themes, grilled food, blueberry cheesecake, dark chocolates, chocolate cake, all-cheese pizza, mozzarella sticks, and sudoku puzzles.

Why Wandering Ella?

In my early years, I was a full homebody. Travel was not in my vocabulary back then. I go to school then head straight home and it goes on as my daily routine. I’ve had a few quick trips to malls within my hometown but rarely outside the borders of Lapu-Lapu City. Imagine my life back then. When I got into college, I was exposed to a whole new environment. I met a few outgoing people and then I met the love of my life, Sheen. He introduced me into a whole new world. My outlook in life changed. I wanted to experience the life I never had. I wanted to go out of my comfort zone and seek adventures. That’s when I realized that I want to see the world one place at a time. Fast forward to the present, when I decided to rebrand my blog, I thought of choosing a name that sounds like me and resonates what I really want. I was in the shower when the two words popped in my head. And that’s when Wandering Ella was born.

What Can You Read From My Blog?

You may think that by the name Wandering Ella, this blog is solely about travel. But I have always believed that you haven’t really traveled when you haven’t eaten good food that the place you traveled to has to offer. It was in fact, my dream to travel and love for good food that has inspired and pushed me in creating Wandering Ella so I can share my travel stories and food adventures to you, my dear readers.

My ultimate goal is simply TO SHARE — must-visit places in Cebustories and experiences in destinations outside Cebumust-try foodie places anywhere in the world, and heartfelt stories from the road
